Monsha’at graduates 20 university startups from the University of Business and Technology Aaccelerator in Jeddah

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” celebrated the graduation of 20 university startups from the University of Business and Technology (UBT) accelerator in Jeddah, as part of the University Startup Accelerator Program.
The ceremony was attended by the Governor of Monsha’at, Mr. Sami Ibrahim Al Hussaini, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Business and Technology, Dr. Abdullah bin Sadiq Dahlan, along with a number of experts and specialists in entrepreneurship. The University Startup Accelerator Program is one of the initiatives under the Human Capability Development Program.
It aims to empower entrepreneurial ventures founded by university students, staff, and fresh graduates by supporting their growth, developing their business models, and enhancing their investment readiness, thereby improving their competitiveness and enabling sustainable expansion. During the ceremony, the startups presented their business models and investment opportunities to investors and funding entities, with the participation of business development service providers.
The projects spanned various tech and service sectors, reflecting the breadth of innovation within the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
Monsha’at provided participants in the six-month accelerator program with a range of development services focused on building entrepreneurial capabilities, including workshops and specialized consultations and guidance sessions, in addition to facilitating access to funding solutions and networking opportunities with investors.
The event also featured an accompanying exhibition where startups showcased their products and services, allowing attendees to explore the projects up close and discuss potential collaborations and investment partnerships.
The program reflects Monsha’at’s ongoing efforts to support university entrepreneurship.
Through its initiatives, it has helped graduate 260 university startups via incubators and accelerators across 12 universities in different regions of Saudi Arabia, highlighting the expanding reach and growing impact of its programs within the academic sector. Monsha’at continues, through these initiatives, to strengthen the university entrepreneurship ecosystem, enabling startups to grow and achieve sustainability, while contributing to the national economy in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
