"Monsha'at" Graduates 20 University Startups from King Faisal University Accelerator

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at" celebrated the graduation of 20 startups from King Faisal University accelerator in Al-Ahsa, as part of the University Startup Accelerator program. The event was attended by Monsha'at Governor Sami Al-Husseini, the University's Acting President Dr. Muhanna Al-Dalami, the Executive Director of the Human Capacity Development Program Engineer Anas Al-Mudaifer, as well as a number of experts and specialists in the field of entrepreneurship.    The University Startup Accelerator program is one of the initiatives of the Human Capacity Development Program.It aims to support the entrepreneurial projects of university affiliates, students, and recent graduates, develop their capabilities, enhance their growth in the market, improve their investment attractiveness. It also aims to improve their organizational structure and competitiveness, enabling them to become successful startups that are attractive for investment opportunities and are capable of growth, expansion, and sustainability. So far, 115 companies have benefited from the program, in addition to more than 15,000 beneficiaries from university and general education. Through this, 20 companies in Al-Ahsa were supported, with total sales exceeding 900,000 riyals during their time in the accelerator. They also succeeded in providing 92 new jobs. The accelerator's activities covered several areas, including e-commerce, tourism, entertainment, industry, transportation, and financial technology. Monsha'at seeks through these programs to enhance the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the university sector in the Kingdom, empower and develop the Saudi economy, and promote sustainability in entrepreneurial projects. It aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and addresses the challenges entrepreneurs may face, thereby helping them grow and expand their businesses.
