Today, the third round of the E-commerce Tour organized by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at) in partnership with the E-commerce Council has kicked off. The tour will run until Wednesday and features the participation of experts, service providers, and specialists in e-commerce at the SME’s Support Center in Riyadh.
The tour's activities include a speech by the E-commerce Council, as well as a panel discussion titled "Promoting an Enabling Environment for E-commerce Development in the Kingdom," highlighting the importance of e-commerce in various government sectors, including transportation, rural and municipal affairs, and housing, and their role in supporting SMEs. The discussion also addresses the key challenges they face, along with the solutions provided to overcome them.
The events also include another panel discussion titled "Future Trends and the Role of the Private Sector in E-commerce Development," with the participation of experts and specialists to provide entrepreneurs and SMEs with insights into the latest global trends for developing and expanding their businesses online.
The tour offers 10 training workshops, including topics such as the potential of e-commerce in Monsha'at, content creation, digital marketing, e-commerce platform development techniques, and e-commerce payment solutions. Additionally, 16 public and private sector entities are participating in the tour, providing their services to entrepreneurs and tour participants. The tour also features a group of consultants in areas such as planning and strategy, operations and management, sales and marketing, and e-commerce.
On the first day of the tour, a joint agreement was signed between Monsha'at and the Riyadh Chamber, aiming to support entrepreneurs and SMEs in the field of e-commerce. The agreement includes a set of training programs and advisory sessions aimed at enhancing the e-commerce environment in the Kingdom and addressing the challenges faced by entrepreneurs during the growth of their ventures.
It is worth mentioning that the e-commerce tours started last month from Jeddah, passing through the Asir region, and intends to cover all regions of the Kingdom during the current year.
