"Monsha'at" Concludes the Law Week by Discussing the Most Promising Opportunities for Entrepreneurs in the Legal Sector

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha’at" has concluded the activities of the Law Week in partnership with government and private entities at the SMEs Support centers in the cities of Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar. The week's activities included dialogue sessions, workshops, entrepreneurial meetings, consultations, and guidance with specialists and experts in various fields, aimed at raising awareness among entrepreneurs and small and medium enterprises owners about the most promising opportunities and facilities provided in the legal sector. More than 2,451 entrepreneurs and of SME owners registered for the activities of the Law Week. More than 45 entrepreneurial meetings were held, presented by government entities and the private sector, in addition to the participation of more than 25 exhibiting and service-providing entities in the SMEs Support centers. The week included SMEs Support Centers, which hosted the Deputy Minister of Commerce for Policies and Regulations, Maher Al-Saeed, discussing the four systems currently under study and expected to be issued soon, reviewing the most prominent provisions that will be applied after the issuance of the Commercial Register and Trade Names system. The Deputy Chairman of the Capital Market Authority for Legal Affairs and Implementation, Badr Al-Ghanim, explained that the Authority’s regulatory and legislative role related to the financial market and its development, as well as its duty to protect investors in securities. He addressed the Authority's supervisory and control role over the entities under its jurisdiction and the full disclosure of information related to securities. Al-Ghanim emphasized the prominent role of lawyers and legal advisors in representing parties before the Committees for the Settlement of Securities Disputes, which contributes to improving the quality of settlement procedures. He also highlighted the compensation awarded in civil cases decided by the Committees over the past two years, amounting to nearly two billion riyals. On the sidelines, the Vice President for Economic Affairs at the General Authority for Competition, Dr. Hisham Al-Aqeel, discussed cooperation with major establishments to set governance and internal procedures to ensure the application of the competition system. He also addressed the Authority’s initiatives, including the issuance of advisory guides for the private sector, clarifying all prohibitions in the system. Law Week aimed to raise awareness among entrepreneurs and introduce them to the systems, regulations, and legal requirements that support SMEs, while also providing a platform for communication and exchange of experiences between entrepreneurs, experts, and relevant government agencies. Through the organization of specialized weeks, "Monsha’at" continues its supportive role in opening new horizons for SMEs by cooperating with all partners to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs, thereby contributing to the growth objectives of SMEs to ensure their sustainability and development.
