The "Monsha’at" Governor Meets with Officials from the Jazan Chamber and Entrepreneurs in the Region

The Governor of the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha’at", Sami bin Ibrahim Al-Husseini, met with the Chairman and members of the Board of Directors of the Jazan Chamber to discuss ways to collaborate and partner in serving the small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurship sector in the region, as well as to work on their development and expansion. The meeting addressed the joint efforts between "Monsha’at" and the Jazan Chamber to support the entrepreneurship sector and startups, as part of enhancing the growth of the entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region and empowering entrepreneurs and SMEs. This collaboration is essential to increasing the sector's contribution to the gross domestic product (GDP) and achieve the targets of Saudi Vision 2030. Additionally, the Governor of "Monsha’at", along with a delegation from the authority, held a meeting with entrepreneurs and SME owners in the Jazan region to identify the challenges they may encounter and facilitate their business growth, as well as discuss promising opportunities in the region and supportive initiatives for entrepreneurial projects. "Monsha’at" has provided numerous services and initiatives for entrepreneurs and SMEs in the Jazan region, including training 1,357 beneficiaries, registering 16 startups in the Tomoh program for international expansion, and granting 223 investment opportunities in the field of franchising. Furthermore, 219 virtual consultations were provided via the Nawafth application, in addition to organizing several specialized events, including an e-commerce tour and a funding pathway. The region is currently home to 47,038 SMEs.
