#SaudiaInnovates: A Monsha’at Initiative to Stimulate Innovation

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” launched the #SaudiaInnovates @SaudiaInnovates initiative, which aims to stimulate innovation and creativity to achieve a thriving economy and a vibrant society, toward Saudi Vision 2030. The initiative seeks to spread the culture of innovation in society, and to partner and cooperate with local and global companies to establish innovation centers and contribute to enabling SMEs to keep pace with the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
The initiative consists of 4 main pillars, starting with innovation centers in cooperation with leading global companies in innovation, and continuing with attention to young people through the Little Maker initiative, which aims to enrich the culture of manufacturing and innovation in society to create a new innovative generation capable of competing globally, by providing a space for unleashing creativity and encouraging self-reliance in making things among children and youth.
There is also the Fikra platform initiative, which seeks to harness collective intelligence in developing services and products through a national ideas platform that connects the various sectors with society and enterprises to find creative solutions that contribute to building the economy, achieving the Vision, and developing the performance of the public sector in the Kingdom. At the same time, it achieves greater community participation and fosters belonging and citizenship through engagement with society and building bridges of communication between government agencies on the one hand and citizens and the private sector on the other, to achieve Saudi Vision 2030.
Finally, there is the Ebtker Exhibition and Award initiative, an annual event held by Monsha’at that aims to spread the culture of invention in order to discover innovators, with the aim of supporting them, developing their entrepreneurial products, and showcasing them locally and globally to create an attractive and enabling environment for innovation.
