“Monsha’at” Concludes the Third Workshop of the Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program “MIT REAP” with the Participation of 30 Entrepreneurial Experts

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, “Monsha’at,” has concluded the third workshop of the Regional Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program “MIT REAP,” in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology “MIT,” with the participation of over 30 entrepreneurial experts and specialists from around the globe. This workshop aims to contribute to the development of the entrepreneurship infrastructure ecosystem in the Riyadh region. The program comprised several strategic phases designed to strengthen the innovation ecosystem. The first phase focused on a comprehensive assessment of the entrepreneurship landscape and SMEs in the Riyadh region. This phase aims to identify the key challenges faced by enterprises, map out the supporting entities within the ecosystem, and analyze the specific needs of entrepreneurs in Riyadh. A strategy for the region was developed through organizing several specialized sessions with SMEs in Riyadh to pinpoint the challenges they encounter. The program also included several tours of the entrepreneurship ecosystem to familiarize participating teams with the prominent businesses operating in the Kingdom. Additionally, intensive workshops were conducted by the program’s team for the tenth cohort members, equipping them with practical knowledge and insights. The program aims to develop an innovative entrepreneurship strategy by identifying key strengths and weaknesses in the ecosystem and building pivotal initiatives that contribute to enhancing the innovative entrepreneurship environment in the region. The impact of these initiatives is expected to reflect in the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, achieving economic and social progress for the region, and stimulating regional activity, in line with global best practices.
