The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, "Monsha'at," organized several panel discussions today, featuring prominent experts and specialists in the media field, in celebration of World Radio Day. These sessions were held at the SMEs’ Support Centers in Riyadh, Madinah, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar. Abdulrahman Majrashi, Head of the Government Communication Center and official spokesperson for the Ministry of Media, participated in a panel discussion focused on "Complementarity between Media and Media Entrepreneurship." He highlighted that in 2024, the Ministry launched approximately 11 initiatives supporting local content, along with more than 15 events, 7 projects, and over 6 international forums, all aimed at showcasing the programs, services, and success stories of government projects in the Kingdom. He also mentioned the Ministry's projects, including the "Saudipedia" platform, which provides comprehensive and reliable digital information about the Kingdom. Initially launched in Arabic, the platform aims to expand to 5 additional languages. Other initiatives include Konoz, ImpaQ Makers Forum, Mediathon, and Media Oasis, among others. At the SMEs’ Support Center in Madinah, Amin Al-Sayed, Director of the Ministry of Media branch, discussed the initiatives offered by the Ministry to entrepreneurs and the key investment opportunities available for supporting entrepreneurial projects in the region. Abdul Khaliq Al-Zahrani, Director General of the Ministry’s Media Branch in Makkah, also emphasized the importance of media investment in fostering entrepreneurship. Monsha’at continues its supportive role by organizing specialized weeks and participating in global observances, aiming to open new horizons for small and medium enterprises in all sectors, including the media field.
