Thursday, January 30, 2020, is the date of the "Biban Conference," which is a component of the "Biban Riyadh Forum" event. Organized by “Monsha’at,” General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises. The conference is organized by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises (Monsha’at). It will include 6 dialogue sessions with local and international professionals as well as regional decision-makers debating a range of subjects pertaining to the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) sector and entrepreneurs.
One of the dialogue sessions is titled "Sports Investment: Towards a Vibrant Entrepreneurial Society." The session will focus on the obstacles and investment opportunities for entrepreneurs in creating a sports-oriented society. The speakers in this session include HRH Prince Khaled bin Sultan Abdullah Al-Faisal, Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Motor Federation, HRH Prince Musaad bin Khalid, Chairman of Sheffield United Football Club, Khalid Al-Baltan, Chairman of Al-Shabab Saudi Club, Dr. Safwan Al-Suwaiket, Chairman of Al-Nassr Saudi Club, and Lama Al-Fozan, Co-founder of "Talqqa" and Saudi fencer.
Another dialogue session will discuss the competitiveness of Saudi Arabia in the global/local content race by Dr. Ghassan Al-Shibl, Chairman of the Local Content and Government Procurement Authority, Eng. Saleh Al-Rasheed, Governor of Monsha’at, Eng. Suleiman Al-Mazrou, CEO of the National Industry Development and Logistics Program, and Eng. Fouad Musa, Deputy Head of the Local Content Development Unit at SABIC. The speakers will address topics such as increasing local production and the impact of government procurement strategies on the contribution of SMEs to the national output.
Furthermore, there will be a dialogue session about "Re-evaluating the Future of Education Experience" to talk about how education has changed over time, what skills the next generation will need, and what kind of environment would best prepare them for what lies ahead. This session will examine innovative approaches to teaching and advancements in the field of education.
The dialogue sessions continue with a session titled "The Changing Landscape/Scene of the Food and Beverage Sector," where industry leaders will discuss market conditions, technological advancements, and opportunities for leaders and entrepreneurs in the sector.
The fashion and retail sector will also be addressed in a dialogue session titled "Global Innovations in Retail Fashion." Lastly, the conference will conclude with a dialogue session discussing the future of media and entertainment in the context of Saudi's Vision 2030. It aims to diversify the Saudi economy and introduce new industries, including entertainment and media.
