His Highness the Prince of Riyadh Inaugurated the Enhanced Edition of the Biban Riyadh Forum

Today, His Royal Highness Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz, the Prince of Riyadh, inaugurated the advanced edition of the Biban Riyadh Forum, organized by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “Monsha’at.” The event was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Monsha’at, Dr. Majid Al-Qasabi.
In a press statement, Prince Faisal bin Bandar described Saudi society as pioneering in celebrating entrepreneurship, emphasizing the duty to support and stand with the youth and ensure their presence in every gathering.
Regarding the key elements of the Biban Forum, which are the youth and ideas, His Highness stated, "Exceptional accomplishments and excellence are realized when they unite. I really recommend that everyone check out this amazing exhibition, as it will be of tremendous use to them. I hope that accomplishments of this extraordinary calibre will constantly accompany our days." He expressed his gratitude to His Excellency the Minister of Commerce and Investment for establishing the foundation for a clear and sound national work approach that is evident daily on a global level. His Highness also expressed his appreciation for the leaders, staff, and organizers of Monsha’at and the exhibition.
The Prince of the Riyadh region was treated to a presentation that highlighted Monsha'at's programs and initiatives, as well as the business and training options that improve the success factors for future project owners and entrepreneurs. Eng. Saleh bin Ibrahim Al-Rasheed, the Governor of Monsha’at, delivered a presentation confirming that Monsha’at's strategy is based on opening up demand horizons and establishing a facilitating economic system for entrepreneurs and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). He also emphasized the empowerment of SMEs and entrepreneurs.
Al-Rasheed pointed out that Riyadh is one of the fastest-growing cities in the world, in the fields of population and economic growth. The number of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises in the Riyadh region exceeds 183,000 enterprises, with approximately 158,000 male employees and nearly 144,000 female employees in SMEs in Riyadh.
The Governor of Monsha’at emphasized on the unique aspect of the Biban Forum lies in its ability to bring together stakeholders in the business sector and all supporting and enabling entities under one roof. It not only focuses on the theoretical aspects of the business sector but also provides suitable solutions to support SMEs. It is enriched with numerous scientific discussions and specialized workshops.
It is worth noting that the Biban Riyadh Forum, held at the Riyadh Front, will offer its services in training, qualification, guidance, and more to visitors, including SME owners and entrepreneurs, over four days starting from today, Wednesday, from 4 PM to 11 PM. The Biban Conference will also be held tomorrow, Thursday, January 30, 2020, under the theme "Building the New Economy Entrepreneurship in the Kingdom." During the conference, global and local experts, as well as regional decision-makers, will discuss several topics of interest to the SMEs and entrepreneurship sector.
