Monsha’at and the Environment Fund Sign MoU on Sidelines of EnviroThon

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority “Monsha’at” signed a memorandum of understanding yesterday evening with the Environment Fund to strengthen collaboration in supporting innovation and empowering enterprises within the environmental sector. The agreement was signed on the sidelines of the closing ceremony of the environmental technology innovation hackathon Environment Thon, held under the patronage of His Excellency, the Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Almushaiti, attended by the Governor of Monsha’at, Sami bin Ibrahim Al Hussaini, and the Acting CEO of the Environment Fund, Munir bin Fahd Al-Sahli, at King Abdulaziz City for Science and Technology (KACST) in Riyadh.
Saud bin Khalid Alsabhan, Vice Governor of Entrepreneurship, signed the MoU on behalf of Monsha'at, alongside Fahad bin Ibrahim Alaboud, Chief Shared Services Officer for the Environment Fund.
The agreement seeks to foster cooperation between the two entities to support the growth of the environmental sector by sharing expertise and data, and by promoting environmental projects and initiatives aligned with economic sustainability goals and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
Areas of collaboration include organizing hackathons and innovation-focused events, exchanging data and information related to priority environmental sectors, and exploring the activation of incentive and grant programs that support environmental and innovation-driven projects.
During the ceremony, Monsha’at was also recognized as one of the knowledge partners of EnviroThon in appreciation of its role in supporting innovation, entrepreneurship, and the development of innovative environmental solutions.
The MoU reflects Monsha’at’s ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships that foster innovation and expand opportunities for small and medium enterprises within the environmental sector.
