The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha'at), in partnership with the Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), concluded "Export Week," held from August 23 to 27, 2026, with the participation of over 40 public and private entities to enhance SME export readiness for global market expansion.

The event engaged more than 1,600 beneficiaries, featuring eight main panel sessions, over 60 entrepreneurial meetings, around 650 advisory sessions, and participation from over 20 exhibitors. Events took place across SME support centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Khobar, as well as the Work Corner incubator in Aseer in cooperation with Aseer Development Authority, and chambers of commerce in Qassim, Tabuk, and Al Baha.

Prominent participants included the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA), the Saudi Export-Import Bank (Saudi EXIM), the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON), and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization (SASO), alongside supporting entities and national supply chain and export companies.

During the opening session, Vice Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Khalil bin Salamah said exports serve as a key driver of national economic growth, emphasizing the importance of understanding target market requirements and developing production lines to boost local product competitiveness globally.

For his part, Naif Alshammari, Deputy CEO of Saudi EXIM Bank, said the bank provides export credit insurance covering up to 90% against foreign buyer default risks. He added that agreements signed with Kafalah program and local banks provided financing guarantees exceeding 2.5 billion riyals ($666 million) at up to 80% coverage, alongside 28 credit lines in 60 countries, noting that SMEs represent 49% of the bank's total clients.

Meanwhile, Meshael Alassaf, Vice President of the Enablement Sector at the Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani), urged entrepreneurs to provide solutions that enhance efficiency and lower costs, revealing plans to launch a platform matching corporate challenges with suitable entrepreneurial solutions.

Sessions highlighted Saudi Exports' services supporting SMEs from readiness to market access through training and incentives, as well as the role of the "Saudi Made" label in building product credibility internationally.

Monsha'at said Export Week is part of its ongoing "Business Weeks" series covering various economic sectors to integrate the SME support system and connect businesses with enabling opportunities to drive growth and sustainability in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
