"Monsha’at" Launches the Innovation Week 2024 in Partnership with a Number of Government Entities
The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha’at" launched the events of Innovation Week 2024 today, as part of the Business Weeks series, in partnership with the Research, Development and Innovation Authority and the Saudi Authority for Intellectual Property, and participation from several entities in the public and private sectors. The events will take place at the SMEs Support Centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Madinah, and Al-Khobar. The Week will begin with an opening session attended by the Deputy Governor of the Authority for the Entrepreneurship Sector, Saud Al-Sabhan, the General Supervisor of the Research, Development and Innovation Authority, Dr. Mohammed Al-Otaibi, and a number of agents concerned with development and innovation from government entities. They will deliberate on the critical role of entrepreneurship as a catalyst for innovation and development. The Week aims to enhance the culture of innovation, intellectual property, and entrepreneurship, encouraging national competencies to strengthen the local economy by proposing creative ideas and solutions. It also provides a platform for communication and exchange of experiences between researchers, innovators, entrepreneurs, investors, and relevant government agencies.The Week's events include workshops and success stories presented by many innovative enterprises, dialogue sessions on the available opportunities in the Saudi market provided by a group of specialized local companies, as well as individual advisory sessions offered by government agencies for male and female entrepreneurs in various sectors. Innovation Week is dedicated to all areas of business innovation, focusing on the four national priorities for research, development, and innovation in science and technology: human health innovations, environmental sustainability innovations, energy and industry innovations, and digital technologies and intellectual property. Additionally, the week emphasizes innovation in business models and patterns. The event aims to build sustainable practical relationships between innovative entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized innovative enterprises, and the public, private, and non-profit sectors across the Kingdom. These relationships are intended to provide services and opportunities that support innovation, accelerating the pace of injecting more domestic commercial innovations. Through organizing specialized weeks, "Monsha’at" continues its supportive role in opening horizons for SMEs, through cooperation with all partners to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs, which can contribute to achieving growth targets for small and medium-sized enterprises, ensuring their sustainability and growth to contribute to the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
