"Monsha'at" Graduates 25 Startups within the University Startups Initiative
The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at" celebrated the graduation of 25 startups at the Qassim University Business Incubator, in the presence of the Governor of the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at", Sami bin Ibrahim Al-Hussaini, and the President of Qassim University, Dr. Muhammad bin Fahd Al-Sharikh. The University Startups Initiative program is one of the initiatives of the Human Capacity Development Program.The incubator supported the startups in transforming their university projects into qualified entrepreneurial projects to enter the market and secure investment opportunities. The support services during the program's period contributed to an increase in the number of the companies' customers by 35%, in addition to closing two investment rounds worth nearly 500,000 riyals. It is noteworthy that "Monsha'at" organized the University Startups Initiative program at the beginning of the previous year, which contributed to the graduation of 75 university startups. This was achieved in cooperation with three government universities: Imam Muhammad bin Saud University in Riyadh, King Faisal University in Al-Ahsa, and Qassim University The initiative included a package of 549 programs and services, a total of more than 900 hours of advisory and training sessions, with the participation of 70 trainers and consultants, and the closing of six investment rounds worth 2 million riyals. This program aims to enhance the culture of innovation and entrepreneurship in the university sector in the Kingdom; to empower and develop the Kingdom's economy, and to enhance sustainability in entrepreneurial projects. It aligns with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 and addresses the challenges entrepreneurs may face, thereby helping them grow and expand their businesses.
