The Biban Riyadh Forum Attracts 180 Supporting Entities for Small and Medium Enterprises and Entrepreneurs

The Biban Riyadh Forum, organized by the General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises “Monsha’at” attracted 180 supporting entities from the government and private sectors for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and entrepreneurs. The goal of the forum, which will held from January 29 to February 1, 2020, was to support SMEs and entrepreneurs as they grow and expand. It emphasized strengthening their technical, management, and financial capacities as well as increasing understanding of the fundamental talents required to carry out company successfully. The participating government and private entities were spread across different sections of the forum, offering their services and initiatives to facilitate business practices, access financing, and promote entrepreneurship culture. Over 300 training programs and workshops were provided by 150 trainers, supporting individuals interested in entering the business world by helping them transform their ideas into projects and providing them with the tools to build successful commercial ventures. The scope is to develop the performance of SME owners and entrepreneurs as well.
The training programs and workshops covered various topics to meet the needs of SMEs and entrepreneurs, including supply chains, human resource contracts, basics of application programming, market research, project accounting fundamentals, strategic planning, franchise contracts, identity and branding design, as well as specialized courses in e-commerce.
The forum included daily advisory sessions conducted by competent experts and experienced business consultants to provide guidance to entrepreneurs and SME owners. There is advisory sessions aimed at promoting entrepreneurship culture in society and offering advice and guidance to entrepreneurs and SMEs, with the goal of personal and business development and reducing the risks associated with entrepreneurship.
It is worth mentioning that registration for the forum was open to everyone free of charge through the following link: biban.monshaat.gov.sa. The forum witnessed the addition of the "Purposeful Innovation" section, which aimed to adopt innovative solutions and introduce more innovative projects within the national economy. Additionally, the "Real Estate and Construction" section aimed to provide investment opportunities for SMEs and raise awareness about non-governmental real estate activities and development requirements. A Biban conference titled "Building the New Economy Leadership in the Kingdom" was also held on January 30th, 2020, where global and local experts and regional decision-makers discussed various topics relevant to SMEs and entrepreneurs.
