“Monsha’at” Concludes the Education Week in Partnership with the Ministry of Education

The Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority, “Monsha’at,” concluded the "Education Week" in partnership with the Ministry of Education. Over 38 enabling entities from the public and private sectors participated. The event took place in the SMEs’ Support Centers in Riyadh, Al-Madinah, Jeddah, and Al-Khobar. Assistant Minister of Private Education and Investment, Eng. Iyad Algarawi explained during a meeting via the SMEs Support Council that the private sector's participation in public education has exceeded 17%, with the ministry aiming to increase it to 25% by 2030. He emphasized the importance of enhancing the role of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the development of the education sector in alignment with the ambitious Saudi Vision 2030. He confirmed that the Ministry of Education has collaborated with the National Infrastructure Fund to launch financial products aimed at investors in the education sector, noting the imminent release of these solutions designed to support investment entities wishing to enter the sector. He highlighted the significance of financing as a key factor in boosting investment in education, pointing out the role of the SME Bank in funding small enterprises for investment in this vital sector. In another meeting of the SMEs’ Support Council, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Private Education, Dr. Muhammad Alodaib, reviewed opportunities and incentives for developing private education to attract partnerships. He stressed the importance of the private sector's role in achieving the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and enhancing strategic partnerships to provide outstanding education. He noted the support offered by the ministry to novice investors, including enabling factors and incentives that contribute to improving beneficiaries' experiences. The week brought together key enabling and supporting entities, including the Ministry of Education, the SME Bank, the Social Development Bank, Almadinah Almunawarah Chamber, Kafalah, leading commercial banks, and private sector representatives. The week aimed to increase awareness among entrepreneurs about investment opportunities in the education sector by introducing them to a comprehensive range of services and programs offered by government, private, and financial entities that support SMEs in the sector. Through organizing specialized weeks, "Monsha’at" aims to continue its supportive role in opening horizons for small and medium enterprises by collaborating with all partners to provide opportunities for entrepreneurs, which contribute to achieving the growth goals of small and medium enterprises, ensuring their sustainability and growth.
