"Monsha’at" Concludes Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program in Collaboration with MIT in the Eastern Province

The General Authority for Small and Medium Enterprises "Monsha’at" has announced the conclusion of the Entrepreneurship Acceleration Program in the Eastern Province.
This eighth edition of the program was conducted in collaboration with the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and with the partnership of the Emirate of Eastern Province. Participating countries included the United Kingdom, Colombia, Egypt, Brazil, and Belgium.
The primary objective of the program was to develop an innovative entrepreneurship strategy for the region and subsequent initiatives.
This has contributed to the development of the strategy in collaboration with relevant entities, including government agencies led by the Emirate of Eastern Province, Monsha’at, and representatives from entrepreneurs, large companies, universities, and venture capitalists.
The program was designed to develop a comprehensive strategy that considers the key strengths and the main challenges, as well as identifying main initiatives to develop the entrepreneurial environment and support SMEs in the Eastern Province. The impact of these initiatives will reflect on the growth of the entrepreneurial ecosystem, achieving economic and social progress in the region. The program was supervised by MIT experts in regional development, following the best global practices.
