The Minister of Education Emphasizes the Integrative Role Between Education and the Private Sector to Invest in Promising Opportunities in Education

His Excellency, Minister of Education, Prof. Youssef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, participated in the SMEs Support Council meeting organized by Monsha'at as part of Education Week. The objective was to highlight the promising opportunities in the education sector at the SMEs Support Centers in Riyadh, Jeddah, Medina, and Al-Khobar. 

During a dialogue session with SMEs owners, Mr. Al-Benyan highlighted the support of the wise leadership in the education sector. This support has contributed to the development of education, the creation of an investment-friendly environment, and the enhancement of educational capabilities and personnel. He also emphasized the importance of strengthening the relationship between the Ministry of Education, private and non-profit sectors, and investors in education, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.

Furthermore, Al-Benyan emphasized the i the cooperative partnership between the Ministry of Education, government, and private sectors. Their shared goal is to support entrepreneurs and cultivate a thriving entrepreneurial environment in the Kingdom. Through targeted programs and initiatives aligned with Vision 2030, they aim to harness the potential of SMEs as economic drivers and catalysts for innovation.

Minister Al-Benyan mentioned that the Ministry of Education has launched various initiatives to support the private sector in education, training, and investment development. These initiatives cover areas like early childhood, kindergartens, special education, and investment opportunities in educational facilities and private education. He stressed that the Ministry welcomes partnerships with the private sector, particularly considering its ongoing digital transformation and service enhancements.

He highlighted the Ministry's commitment to directly serve the private sector and advocate for investors. Communication channels such as the Saudi Business Center, Private Education Advisory Council, and Investor Relations Department were established for this purpose. Notable measures have been implemented to empower private and international schools, such as allowing investors to utilize buildings outside of regular working hours, granting them autonomy in managing organizational structures, and leveraging electronic platforms like the Madrasati platform. The Ministry also provides support for schools to enhance extracurricular activities.

The Minister of Education, accompanied by Sami Al-Husseini, Governor of Monsha’at, visited the Startup Hub, Thakaa Center and the SMEs Support Center, During the tour, he learned about the accelerators and innovative incubators and praised the cooperation between the educational sectors, the Hub, and the center in promoting innovation and technology adoption.

Education Week events will continue until next Thursday, featuring a range of topics where education leaders and potential stakeholders in the educational system will meet entrepreneurs to facilitate communication, foster relationships, and increase awareness among enterprises, entrepreneurs, and SME owners about promising investment opportunities in the education sector.
