"Monsha'at "Signs a Memorandum of Understanding with the Pakistani Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority
The Government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha’at," signed today a Memorandum of Understanding with the Government of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, represented by the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority "SMEDA" under the Ministry of Industries and Production in Pakistan, with the aim of enhancing economic, commercial and investment cooperation in the SMEs sector in both countries, and improving their competitiveness in global markets. This was in the presence of the Pakistani Ambassador to the Kingdom, Ahmed Farooq, and the Governor of Monshaat, Sami Al-Hussaini, on the sidelines of the Public Investment Fund and Private Sector Forum. The Memorandum seeks to exchange the knowledge and experiences possessed by both parties to improve the institutional infrastructure and develop SMEs in both countries. It includes organizing mutual work visits to develop trade relations between SMEs, providing information on commercial opportunities related to SMEs, and supporting the organization of training and educational programs for SMEs. The Memorandum also contributes to enhancing technical and innovative cooperation to improve productivity and competitiveness, support the exchange of promotional activities for opportunities available to SMEs, and develop models, policies, or entrepreneurship development strategies between the two countries. Through these agreements, "Monsha’at" seeks to reach the highest levels of cooperation in various sectors to support entrepreneurs and SME owners in achieving the targets of the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
