"Monsha'at" Organizes a Program to Develop National Cadres to Enter the Contracting Sector

Yesterday, the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority "Monsha'at,"in cooperation with the Saudi Contractors Authority, organized the first workshop within the "Developing National Cadres to Enter the Contracting Sector" program, with the participation of 75 beneficiaries. The workshop, held at the SMEs Support Center in Riyadh, was attended by the Deputy Governor for Planning and Development at Monsha'at, Engineer Suleiman Al-Tarif, the Head of Sector Development at the Saudi Contractors Authority, Taha Al-Safi, and a number of experts in this field. The program aims to qualify entrepreneurs, enabling them to enter the promising contracting sector and linking them with major companies according to best global practices. The program progresses through several stages, starting with the completion of the training program at the Monsha'at Academy, followed by workshops at the SMEs Support Center with the participation of leading experts and specialists in the contracting sector. Subsequintly, participants complete courses provided by the Saudi Contractors Authority in the fields of occupational health and safety and project management. Finally, they are linked with the largest specialized companies in the sector to benefit from the expertise and skills provided to entrepreneurs and SME owners. The training program includes a number of tracks that contribute to supporting entrepreneurs to grow their pioneering projects, including feasibility studies, steps to establish a business, factors for the growth of small and medium enterprises, in addition to risk and operations management, product and service development, and preparation of offers for competitions and tenders, among other topics that support the participants.
